at&t 8925 gets FCC approval

Thanks to an anonymous tip I have learned that the at&t 8925 (aka HTC Kaiser) has now gained FCC approval. I was concerned that the Kaiser would not make it into the US because of the Qualcomm chip ban. Looks like it's not going to be a problem.

There will be three versions: KAIS110 has no camera while KAIS100 has one camera and KAIS120 has two cameras. I assume at&t will pick up the single camera version as that's what they have done in the past but you never know.

Cingular 8925 trumps iPhone

The iPhone has been out for a while and I'm definitely not going to get one. The iPhone sacrifices functionality for usability which is great for the tech illiterate but for anyone with a brain the Cingular 8925 (on the left) has every feature the iPhone has plus more at about the same price.

Supposedly the Cingular 8925 will be available in August 2007. That is a phone I would be willing to wait in line for.
