My next phone

Geek.com has a good review of the next cell phone I'm going to buy. It's the HTC Wizard A.K.A. over in Europe the QTEK 9100 or the I-mate K-JAM. It is supposed to be picked up by Cingular in the US in early 2006 but I don't know if I will be able to wait that long. I can buy an unlocked version right now for $674 but that's pretty steep even for me and I'm not sure if it's quad band or not.

This phone has so many features it's unbelievable. It has Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition with integrated 802.11g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2, 1.3-megapixel camera, TI OMAP 200MHz processor, and 2.8-inch QVGA 240x320 display, EDGE support, IR, Mini-SD expansion (Up to 1 GB currently), Qwerty keyboard, USB Host capabilities, and Stereo Speakers just to name a few. About the only thing missing is GPS but the radios for that are pretty big so it will be a while before we see that integrated.

It is a little bit bigger than my current phone so I'm going to have to hold one in my hand to be sure, but I'm willing to give up a little portability for the Wi-Fi and EDGE support. I think I will really like the keyboard also. I've gotten pretty fast at T9 entry but it still isn't perfect. Hurry up Cingular, I need this phone!!!
