AGP rises from the grave

A while ago I talked about the 6800 Ultra which at the time looked like it would be the fastest AGP card ever made since everything else was going to be PCI-e based. Luckily for those of us with older systems I was wrong. NVIDIA is releasing the GeForce 7800GS this weekend which is the 7800 GPU with an AGP bridge. So now we've come full circle, first we had AGP->PCI-e bridges to make AGP cards work with PCI-e, now it's just the opposite.

Either way this is good news. Mostly because it will drive the prices down on the 6800 series cards which I still need to pick up.
